After.Life is the story of a young couple who have a tragic misunderstanding leaving Anna (Christina Ricci – Addams Family) in the morgue. But the funeral director Eliot (Liam Neeson – Batman Begins, Schindler’s List) is a bit creepy. Is Anna really dead or is there more to it than meets the eye? Does Eliot have the gift to speak to the dead or is he burying people alive? This movie is a bit spooky and worth seeing. I’d at least give it a rental. Warning for you parents out there that there is nudity (Ricci) throughout the film.

After his parents’ brutal murders Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale, Terminator Salvation) travels the world, seeking the best to train him to fight the same injustices that took his parents from him. His main trainer Henri Ducard, a disguised Ra’s al Ghul, (Liam Neeson, Taken) is a tough teacher who is not impressed by Bruce’s wealth and intellect. Helping him in his battle are trusted butler Alfred (Michael Caine, Harry Brown), his ally Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman, Invictus) and detective Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman, Bram Stoker‘s Dracula). Upon his return to Gotham he unveils his alter-ego Batman, a masked hero who uses strength, intelligence and high-tech weapons to fight the criminal element in Gotham. This is where…..Batman Begins.
Here’s my batch of movies (all Blu-ray unless otherwise noted) I will be working on for the foreseeable future. Batman Begins (currently viewing/reviewing), Don McKay (Thomas Hayden Church & Elisabeth Shue), From Paris With Love (John Travolta), Someone’s Knocking At The Door, Run Bitch Run! (DVD), Avatar, The Edge (Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin). Marked For Death (Steven Seagal), Robin Hood : Men In Tights (Cary Elwes, Richard Lewis). I figure on knocking out a movie a day so stick with me and tell your friends! It should be a wild ride.
